On leave from Canada's Community Policing department, Esa Khattak is travelling in Iran, reconnecting with his cultural heritage and seeking peace in the country's beautiful mosques and gardens. But Khattak's supposed break from work is cut short when he's approached by a Canadian government agent in Iran, asking him to look into the death of renowned Canadian-Iranian filmmaker Zahra Sobhani. Zahra was murdered at Iran's notorious Evin prison, where she'd been seeking the release of a well-known political prisoner. AUSMA ZEHANAT KHAN holds a Ph.D. in International Human Rights Law and is a former adjunct law professor. She was Editor-in-Chief of "Muslim Girl" magazine, the first magazine targeted to young Muslim women. A British-born Canadian, Khan now lives in Colorado with her husband. "The Language of Secrets "is her second novel. Peter Ganim is an American of Lebanese, Slovak and Syrian descent. He is a stage, television and film actor, as well as director, writer, teacher and filmmaker. He also does voiceovers. A lot of them. He began in front of the microphone in 1994 with corporate and incentive travel narration. He is accredited and certified by a number of organisations with cool acronyms, like AFTRA, SAG, the APA and SaVoa.
