Author of The Post-Soviet Condition: Chintz Aitmatov in the '90s (2005) and Guru Dutt: Through Light and Shade (2008), editor of Cultural Histories of Central Asia (2009), co-editor of Being and Becoming: The Cinemas of Asia (2002) and Globatisation and the Third World (2009). Former Executive Editor of Cinemaya with which she was associated from the beginning, former Joint Director of Osian's-Cinefan Festival of Asian & Arab Cinema, journalist, editor and translator, Latika Padgaonkar has served on juries of many international film festivals, has co-edited Being and Becoming: The Cinemas' of Asia (2002), The World of Kenji Mizoguchi (2007), Women in Politics (1993), has a PhD from the University of Paris, and worked for many years with UNESCO.
