Jim Eldridge is an award-winning scriptwriter (500 scripts broadcast in the UK and internationally) and best-selling children's author (100 books published). "Assassins", featuring DCI Stark, marks Jim's entry into the world of adult crime fiction. Jim's script credits include writing and creating Radio 4's long-running comedy- drama series "King Street Junior" (100 eps over 20 years) and the classic radio sitcom "Parsley Sidings" (starring Arthur Lowe"). On TV, he wrote "Julia Jekyll and Harriet Hyde", "Woof", "Bad Boyes, "Time Riders", and many more, including writing TV scripts for Disney and other American companies.
"Besides providing interesting nuggets of history, Eldridge depicts his lead characters with complexity and compassion, auguring well for this series kickoff" Kirkus Reviews "A smart start to a proposed series, with politics threaded through procedure, plus a hint of romance" Booklist I just finished reading "Assassins", and couldn't put it down. In fact, I just pulled it out of our return pile so I can read it again. I scrolled through our library catalog and google, and it looks as if this is your only "adult" book, or at least the only one about Chief Inspector Stark. We hope you will be writing more about him soon. All the characters and historical detail were wonderful. z. Micky Schap Tucson, A
