When you are aware of and own your suffering or confusion, pain or feeling of isolation you are valuing and paying attention to you. The more you know and understand about the self the more compassionate you become with you. Self-compassion means you hold greater light and can help others without your personal neediness or strings attached or running any hidden agendas. Culturally our training has been to sacrifice and serve. That has not succeeded in making a calm peaceful spiritual planet or population. Suffering was designed to point out that there might be a better way. This book points out some different points of perception to consider. Please do not get confused; "compassion for you" is NEVER about over eating, collecting more stuff, being abusive or suffering. Those are all about wounds you are trying to hide from your awareness with an addiction or dark truths. The healing and compassionate response would be for you to feel and own your pain and suffering, it was your experience and part of you. Own and feel it with compassion, it is not wise to move in and live in your wounds. We all originated in the highest vibration or the twelfth dimension and step-by-step we slowed our vibration down to the slow third dimension and stepped down light to form physical matter and being human. Our decrease in vibration meant a reduction of our wisdom or memory, division into male and female, contrast or opposition creating victims and predators because so much of our focus was on keeping the biology alive. Our change in focus, made it much harder to extricate our self out of victim predator truths and beliefs. At each slower level of vibration OUR thoughts and truths moved away from compassion and into survival. That's why you hear some dark siblings, parents or adults say they torment and abuse the young ones to "toughen them up." When we have lost compassion for the self, we get meaner, nastier and more fearful. We loose sight of the larger picture and how it fits into our reality right now.
