About the Author

David Scott is a widely-published author on Japan, comparative religion and cookery. He has written over 25 books and numerous newspaper and magazine articles, including The Elements of Zen, The Way of Zen (co-author), The Three Bowls Cookbook and Simply Zen, Interiors and Garden. He lives in Liverpool where he studies Zen under the guidance of Genpo Merzel Roshi.
