Pete Frame was born in Luton, Bedfordshire in 1942. In the early Seventies he started Zigzag, a magazine he edited and wrote for (on and off) for several years. Since 1979, however, he has managed to scratch a living off his pen. His Rock Family Trees have appeared in Melody Maker, NME, Sounds, Rolling Stone, Q, Vox and numerous other publications; in tour programmes; and on record sleeves. He now lives in the Scottish Highlands.
