About the Author

Robert M. Insoft, MD, FAAP, is the Senior Vice-President for Medical Affairs and Quality at Women & Infants Hospital where he is also a practicing neonatologist. He is an Associate Professor of Pediatrics at the Brown University Alpert Medical School. He served 2 elected terms as Chair of the AAP’s Section on Transport Medicine and co-chaired and spoke/taught at multiple Academy, PREP and other regional, national/international conferences. He has authored numerous research articles and chapters, many on quality improvement and transport medicine.
