About the Author

A licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and National Board Certified Counselor, Leslie Baker has over twenty-five years of experience in the field of psychotherapy. She is the owner and Executive Director Therapy2Thrive (tm) Ruby Hill Marriage and Family Counseling Center, Inc., in Pleasanton, CA. She and her staff provide psychotherapy to families, individuals, couples, children and adolescents. She is co-owner of Connecting to Play Therapy in San Ramon, CA providing clinical training for therapists in play therapy. She is a Certified Gottman Therapist working with couples on building connection in their partnerships. She is a local, national, and international speaker on the topics play therapy, over use of technology in families, Gottman couples workshops and alleviating burnout and compassion fatigue for counselors, and suicide loss and prevention.
