100 perfect bound galleys will be mailed to reviewers and media four months prior to publication. The book will be promoted heavily on BOA's website, Myspace page, and to our numerous contacts. Ads will be placed in Poets & Writers and Publishers Weekly. Lederer is an active marketer with numerous contacts in the New York City literary scene and across the country. She will give readings and spread the word to her contacts in support of The Heaven-Sent Leaf.
Katy Lederer is author of the poetry collection, Winter Sex (Verse Press, 2002) and memoir Poker Face: A Girlhood Among Gamblers (Crown, 2003), which Publishers Weekly included as Best Nonfiction Books of 2003 and Esquire Magazine named one of its eight Best Books of the Year 2003. She holds degrees from University of California at Berkeley and Iowa Writers' Workshop.
