About the Author

1.Suojiang Zhang is a Professor and the Director of IPE, CAS and Vice-Director of State Key Laboratory of Multi-phase Complex System, IPE, CAS. His main research interests focus on ionic liquids and green process engineering, including molecular simulations, properties, preparation and applications of ionic liquids for catalysis, such as a large-scale preparation process of ionic liquids, an innovative cleaner process of methyl methacrylate (MMA), a new process for the synthesis of ethylene glycol via hydrolysis or alcoholysis of ethylene carbonate, PET degradation, a novel method for production of bio-gasoline from biomass, a new process for CO2 capture, and new electrolyte. So far, a total of 180 papers have been published in academic journals, four monographs have been written, and more than 40 patents have been authorized.
