About the Author

Frances Osborne worked as a barrister, a banker and then a journalist before becoming a full-time writer. She lives in London and Cheshire with her husband and two young children.

A really great read, made all the more poignant knowing it is based on a true story. The author tells the story of her ancestors fabulously well and draws you into a world that experiences a rollercoaster of emotions.
