The Author is a former primary school teacher with a Master of
Education degree and tutors students in Maths and English. She
expects to be doing this for a long time to come because she is
passionate about helping children to improve their school work and
to improve their attitude towards it and themselves. She has also
taught English to migrants.
The Author writes not just to entertain, but to teach (subtle) wise
life lessons that are relevant no matter what age the reader is.
The stories are positive, wholesome and educative.
In addition to writing "Magic? Who Needs It!", she has written a
two children's picture books and one activity book about the
adventures of Perry (a resourceful pygmy-possum) and Perky (an
adventurous quokka).
Prior to writing the first edition of "Magic? Who Needs It!", most
of the writing she had done was related to her studies and work as
a teacher. She did enter two caption writing competitions and won
both, and while this isn't story writing, it is evidence that she
can be clear, concise and humorous.
This second edition of "Magic? Who Needs It! - a modern fairy tale"
has been updated and enlarged to keep it 'modern'!.
