About the Author

Peter Viereck is a Pulitzer Prize-winning poet, critic, and historian. He held the Kenan Chair in History at Mount Holyoke College. Among his books are Conservatism: From John Adams to Churchill, Conservatism Revisited, Unadjusted Man, Shame and Glory of the Intellectuals, and Tide and Continuities: Last and First Poems.
