Sally Magnusson is an author, journalist and presenter of BBC
Scotland's Reporting Scotland. She also presents Tracing Your Roots
on BBC Radio 4 and was one of the main presenters of Songs of
Praise for many years.
Sally has written multiple books, including the Sunday Times
bestseller Where Memories Go, The Sealwoman's Gift, Ninth Child and
her third fiction novel, Music in the Dark, which is due out in
early 2023. After observing the effect of music on her mother's
dementia, she founded Playlist for Life and was voted the Evening
Times Scotswoman of the Year in 2018 alongside many other awards
for her journalism.
She lives in the countryside Scotland with her husband Norman and
whichever of their children currently requires a roof.
