Preface Then for each text: Introduction Text Commentary Vocabulary
The exam-board approved book for all the texts examined in OCR's AS and A Level in Classical Greek in 2019-21.
Stephen Anderson was for many years Head of Classics at Winchester College, UK, and is now Rodewald Lector in Classical Languages at New College, University of Oxford, UK. Rob Colborn teaches Classics at Abingdon School, UK. Neil Croally teaches Classics at Dulwich College, UK. Charlie Paterson teaches Classics at Eton College, UK. Chris Tudor is founder of Massolit. Claire Webster teaches Classics at Winchester College, UK.
This looks like a fantastic book to help guide students through the
lit text set. The text is clear and in very accessible format. The
commentary notes are very useful both for language, literary and
contextual purposes and are extremely thorough. The vocabulary list
at the end should also prove invaluable for preparation and
revision of the text. The general introduction is also very helpful
for those with no knowledge and for a good understanding of
Homer.
