Laura Dekker is the youngest ever sailor to circumnavigate the
world solo, achieving her dream in 2012 aged only 16, having defied
authorities in her native Holland as well as the elements on her
15-month-long odyssey. Of German and Dutch parentage, she now lives
in New Zealand.
