The adventures of Pigsticks, the world's most optimistic pig, and his sidekick Harold, an over-anxious hamster.
Alex Milway has always enjoyed making up stories and, after leaving art college, he discovered that he liked to write and illustrate them as well. His interest in furry creatures first reared its head in the The Mousehunter trilogy, where weird and wonderful mice ran riot all over the world. In The Mythical 9th Division, the fur quota got even bigger, as he had to master the art of drawing a troop of yetis whose main purpose was to save the world. His new series, Pigsticks and Harold, features a furry hamster and a decidedly un-furry pig. Stanley McGeagh is a gifted narrator and actor. Since starting his acting career in Ireland, he has worked in British repertory and on the West End. Stanley has appeared in various stage musicals, including Applause with Lauren Bacall at Her Majesty's Theatre London. He has extensive television, film and radio experience, including Frontline and Halifax f.p.
'Milway develops his characters into quite lovable friends that
children will adore. Pigsticks is certainly in charge, but it is
clear that without his assistant, his goal will never be
realised.'
