Emma Chichester Clark was born in London but grew up in the countryside in Ireland. She studied at the Chelsea School of Art followed by the Royal College of Art where she was taught by Quentin Blake. She has written and illustrated many picture books, including the immensely popular Blue Kangaroo series, and has also produced illustrations for numerous magazines and book jackets. She lives between West London and Suffolk, and loves to take her dog Plum on long walks.
A skillfully suspenseful story with all the charm of Chichester
Clark’s picture books.

[G]o down to the woods for a gentle bear story…This divinely
illustrated book begs to become a series…I enjoyed this gentle
story and found her illustrations divine: Mrs Snell is a perfectly
sculpted, minimalist Cruella de Vil, the adult bears are fabulously
fierce, the baby bears visually vulnerable. Expect growls of
approval.

Full of enchanting illustrations, this is a lovely story of a
kindly girl and a lost bear.

A perfect book. Booboo is now one of my favorite bears, sitting
right alongside Paddington and Winnie the Pooh. This story has lots
and lots of heart.

of all, charming; a wonderful story with a real classic feel.
