Who will be the next ruler of Rome? Prompted by a frightening omen, Etruscan King Tarquin sends his two sons plus Lucius Junius Brutus, the simpleton prince (and secretly master mage of Rome!) to ask the wisdom of the god Apollo. But the answer is not so simple. Lucius and his Greek friend Demetria want to take back Rome for Romans, Tarquin's princes are squabbling amongst themselves, and in the background lurks a powerful soothsayer who would just as soon have them all out of the way.
