Anastasia Tyler is a recognised crime writer who has won the
Burdekin Writers Festival Short Story Competition, was shortlisted
for the prestigious CWA (UK) Debut Dagger Award and is published in
the NT Writers’ Centre short story anthology, Bruno’s Song. She
also has numerous published non-fiction articles.
Born in Canada of Australian parents with convict heritage,
Anastasia grew up in England and reunited with Australia as a
teenager. She has a background in journalism, media, teaching
English literature, and now works as a Hansard editor. Words have
been a constant in her life.
Survival Mode is based on Anastasia’s experiences at an antiquated
boarding school in 1980s England.
