Vultures wheeled overhead as Tim Watson found himself running out of fuel in the desert. His account, informative and hilarious, is a must for armchair adventurers and anyone who has ever wondered what small-town America is really like.

Riding into Tombstone, scene of the OK Corral gunfight, and finding a bar full of sobbing hard-core bikers. Staying at a top motel that looks straight out of a sci-fi comic. Discovering the biggest military aircraft graveyard. Nevada brothels and casinos and what to watch out for. Extra-terrestrial activity and its 'interesting' followers. Accidentally riding with an outlaw motorcycle club. Wyoming street party with the world's worst rock band and beer from a pick-up.
