In 1912, speeding north on a crowded delta train, Jackie's family escapes the perils of their former Mississippi home. On the journey, a recurring dark dream invades her psyche striking fear into her heart. While traveling overland by wagon, her father is attacked by a highwayman and is forced to kill or be killed.
