An undersea journey around the planet

Hardback, 144 pages
Published
United Kingdom, 1 September 2009

Join us on an amazing underwater safari from warm equatorial waters to the ice-bound polar seas; from the sandy beaches and rocky shores where the sea meets the land to the unexplored depths of the ocean floor.
Along the way you will meet an astonishing array of creatures, from Leafy Seadragons and Longsnout Sea Horses to Dusky Dolphins and Wobbegongs. As we descend further beneath the waves, you will encounter some of the ocean's most fearsome predators: the Blackfin barracuda, the Great White Shark and the Portuguese Man o' War as well as the Blue Whale - the biggest animal ever to have lived on Earth. Finally, at the very bottom of the ocean floor, some 11,000 metres beneath the surface, you will explore an alien world of nightmarish fangs and fluorescence and discover the jaw-dropping variety of lifeforms that inhabit this extreme environment.
Voyage Into the Deep allows you to see these astonishing animals in dramatic detail. Data streams, digital readouts and unique graphic interfaces provide the very latest information about the natural history of each animal as well as the deadly hazards that that lurk in the depths and how to avoid them.
Specifically designed and written for children aged 8+ years; printed in dramatic over-sized format and packed with more than 80 spectacular images, Voyage Into the Deep is quite simply the biggest, best and most exciting undersea book ever published.
