"I am delighted to walk this journey in the Way with Michele
Hershberger as she explores what it means to be saved, a journey
that, interestingly enough, starts on her front porch. Michele is a
gifted storyteller. This simple breakdown of our complex faith is a
must-read for every Anabaptist Christian and an excellent tool to
help guide others in our faith."
--Glen Guyton, executive director of Mennonite Church USA
"For years Michele Hershberger's students have raved about her
teaching. Reading this book, those of us not lucky enough to have
been in her classroom can see why. Her patient and careful
attention to a vast range of scriptural images and metaphors
elevates this book far above the theoretical abstraction and
ideological polemic of most recent books on atonement theology.
Pastors, teachers, and students of theology are deeply in her
debt."--Peter Dula, associate professor of religion and culture at
Eastern Mennonite University
