I watched this movie as a child and so did my kids. The grandkids are now watching it. Great fun movie where real actors and animation are mixed. One of the first to do so.

Adaptation of the book by the same name, this has live scenes and animated scenes, which I didn't like very much, even as a child. I always found that a bit odd and creepy. The special effects aren't great either, but it was made a long time ago. It does manage to capture some of the magic and exciting stuff from the books, and there are some funny moments, but it's not one of the best children's films I've seen.

This movie unsuccessfully tries to blend cartoon with people, set during the second world war - it doesn't really work (when does it ever really). However the concept is fun - a magic bedknob (singular, as in the title of the book, not the movie) which can transport you wherever you wish. A great escape for war ridden England. Watch if you must.

this is a pretty average disny movie in my opinion. there lacked a lot of the certain disney charm that is found in many of the other movies, and there also was not a lot of cute and likeable characters. howebver this is still a good watch if you are a kid, and it is also very appropriate. good for kids only
