My second favourite Stanley Kubrick film, this is strong stuff, even now, approaching 40 years on. Superbly directed and containing a wonderful central performance from Malcolm Mcdowell. Violence and sex abound, but actually serve the (deeply theologically allegorical) story or the attempted reform of one of society's bad boys. Provocative and absorbing, a classic.
