She was in the wrong place and the wrong time and, then, she was no more. Jazzman Danny Parker's wife was murdered, and Danny was powerless to prevent it. Now the heartbroken Danny is on the skids, lost among the derelict tweakers of L.A. Or is he? In Danny's world nothing - most of all Danny - is what it seems.

Mystery runs deep in "The Salton Sea". So does the talent behind this dreamlike thriller written by Tony Gayton ("Murder by Numbers") and stylishly directed by D. J. Caruso. Val Kilmer is spellbinding as Danny, a man adrift in a sea of lowlifes (played by Vincent D'Onofrio, Anthony La Paglia and many more) - yet hovering on the razor's edge of a dangerous revenge.

The Salton Sea is a pretty slick movie that is definately worth watching but i could imagine it not being everyones cup of tea. It stars Val Kilmer and Vincent D'Onfrono in what can only really be described as a modern noir film with some very strange characters and themes. I would recommend this one for a lazy sunday afternoon, or if you like a good noir slash detective story.
