Season 1
From the producers of Love My Way, Spirited is a romantic look at life and love after death with a rock n roll twist.
Uptight dentist Suzy Darling (Claudio Karvan) leaves her egotistical husband Steve (Rodger Corser) and moves into a penthouse to start a new life with her children. Seemingly a well orchestrated plan, she quickly discovers that she has to share her penthouse with Henry, who is no ordinary man. Henry is, apparently, a ghost. Henry (Matt King) awakens from 20 years of deathly slumber when Suzy and her kids move into the apartment. Hes a British Rock Star and struggles to understand what is happening to him or even who he is.
Meanwhile, Suzys husband, Steve, a brilliant, blue blooded trustafarian with more ideas than sense, dedicates most of his time to either sabotaging his ex-wifes attempts at independence or concocting plans to woo her back. Suzy soon finds sharing her life and home with a ghost is a wild maddening and strangely fun adventure. Despite themselves, they form a bond as strong as any real relationship and as infuriating and surprising as the greatest of love stories.
Season 2
Strange things happen when a ghost and a mortal fall in love and in series two when Henry returns to Suzy he brings the party with him an entire entourage of rowdy ghosts return and take up residence in Suzys apartment.
The joy of series two is watching Suzy and Henry navigate this new world and the pressures it brings to their love and sanity. They stumble across the knowledge that their rare and unusual love is not a first and there is a way for them to be together but the cost is colossal.
Suzy finds herself the object of a powerful and charismatic new ghosts attention. Jonquil and Zac are loved up and whilst Zac is releasing his Mallet biography, Jonquils life is turned upside down the day her long lost mother re-enters their lives.
Steve, Suzys lovable, serial pest of an ex, returns determine to reconnect with his spirit guy.
Spirited is a fantastical but very real romance but what price, ultimately will they pay for love?
